The origins of the Herb Fair can be traced back to age-old practices in the Mallorcan countryside, where generations of villagers roamed the hillsides collecting wild herbs for healing balms, flavourful seasonings, and fragrant liqueurs. The festival honours this natural heritage, turning Selva into a living museum of herbal wisdom and local culture. Cobblestone streets are lined with stalls offering everything from artisanal oils to traditional herbal remedies and handmade cosmetics, all infused with the island’s native botanicals.

Every June, the tranquil mountain village of Selva, perched on the edge of the Tramuntana range in Mallorca, bursts into life with the celebration of the XXVII Fira de ses Herbes—the Herb Fair. In 2026, this beloved local tradition returns for its 27th edition from June 6 – 13th, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the aromatic world of Mallorca’s medicinal and culinary herbs.
