Markets in Mallorca

The tradition of market days in Mallorca dates back centuries, rooted in the island’s agricultural heritage and strategic location on ancient trade routes. Markets served as vital hubs for locals to exchange goods and fostered community ties. Over time, these gatherings have evolved to the lively street markets we see today, offering a glimpse into the island’s cultural heritage whilst showcasing an array of local delights, from cheeses, meats and vegetables to handmade crafts and clothing. 

Pick any day of the week and you will find a market to go to somewhere in Mallorca. Though timetables aren’t particularly strict most tend to run from 8am until 2pm. Most markets tend to be held in the Main Square / Market Square of each town.
