8 – 12 April 2026

The Fira de Sant Francesc is a traditional festival in Muro, Mallorca, held annually in early April. Rooted in local heritage, this fair pays homage to the region’s history, particularly its connection to marès stone and the quarry workers who played a significant role in shaping Muro’s identity.

The festival commemorates the cultural and economic importance of marès quarries in Muro, which have existed since the 18th century. These quarries provided stone for numerous iconic buildings across Mallorca. The festival also honours Sant Francesc de Paula, a revered figure in Muro’s spiritual and agricultural heritage.
